Subject: USSSA 2014 Senior Softball Program

As many of you know, USSSA is making a concerted effort to become the premier association for Senior Softball play. During the 2013 National Meeting a new committee was formed and Vice President Tony DeDonatis is the Committee Chairman.

Important items from the National Meeting regarding the 2014 Senior Program are noted below. In addition, the Senior Softball Rules have been modified and can be found here.

Master's Program was eliminated

Senior Softball Program expanded to include Men's ages 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70 and Women's ages 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70

Senior bats will be allowed in all age divisions for current USSSA Softball Bat Licensees. In addition, all regular 1.20 BPF USSSA bats manufactured by current USSSA Softball Bat Licensees with the new USSSA Thumbprint permanent mark on the bat taper will be allowed.

An approved pitcher's screen OR a pitcher's mask must be used in all Senior play.

Any player currently on the USSSA Major Player or Major Player Watch List can't play below Major Plus.

Currently, we are still working on the final dates and locations for the 2014 Senior World Tournaments.
